The PCAT App, Academy, Exam Center, Ask PCAT, Coach PCAT, and other current or future PCAT services are designed to support studying, professional development, exam preparation, research, and coaching. They do not replace current law, controlling authority, agency policy, prosecutor guidance, supervisory direction, legal advice, or independent professional judgment.
PCAT works diligently to provide accurate, useful, and current educational and training information based on the materials available within its services. However, laws, policies, guidance, testing standards, and source materials may change, and no educational or technology service can guarantee that every response, explanation, score, or recommendation will always be complete, current, or error-free. You are responsible for reviewing cited materials and independently verifying important information before relying on it for an examination, enforcement action, legal decision, supervisory decision, employment matter, or other significant purpose.
Do not submit protected, restricted, confidential, or personally identifying information. Questions based on actual events should be generalized or anonymized. Do not include identifying information about victims, witnesses, suspects, juveniles, employees, or other individuals, or submit criminal-history, CJIS-protected, medical, personnel, internal-affairs, sealed, or privileged information.
Your account is for your individual use. Do not share your login, allow another person to use your account, impersonate another user, or attempt to bypass access, device, or usage limits. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
PCAT retains its rights in its course materials, source libraries, question banks, examinations, coaching methods, reports, software, and branding. You may use PCAT AI responses for your authorized personal and professional purposes and may use sharing features provided by PCAT. You may not scrape, reproduce, resell, commercially distribute, reverse engineer, or use protected PCAT materials to create a competing product.
Coach PCAT may use assignments, transcripts, evaluations, progress information, and instructor feedback to provide training support. Coaching results are not official Civil Service scores, employment evaluations, or guarantees of examination performance. You may access only the coaching seat and materials assigned to you.
PCAT may retain account information, questions, responses, feedback, coaching records, agreement records, access history, and technical information as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, evaluate, and improve the services. Authorized PCAT personnel may review this information for support, quality control, security, administration, and product improvement.
You remain responsible for how you use PCAT services and for decisions or actions taken after reviewing PCAT materials, responses, scores, evaluations, or recommendations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PCAT is not responsible for examination results, promotion or employment decisions, enforcement or legal decisions, losses caused by reliance on unverified information, service interruptions, or misuse of an account or service. Nothing in this Agreement excludes responsibility that cannot legally be limited or waived. Features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable, and PCAT may suspend or end access for misuse, account sharing, attempted circumvention, security concerns, expired access, or violation of this Agreement.
New Jersey law governs this Agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
